At Clay Wealth Management, our community matters as much as our clients. For the first time, we have chosen a Charity of the Year that aligns with our values of family, health, community and fun. For 2026, we are proud to support The David Lock Horsepool Foundation.
The David Lock Horsepool Foundation vision is, to create a sanctuary where autistic young people can connect with animals and nature to develop confidence, independence, and wellbeing.
Based at Horsepool Farm in Burbage, the Foundation provides a unique calm environment for autistic young people and their families to explore, build confidence and ultimately make a positive impact on their lives.
Earlier this month, Kate and Claire from the Clay Wealth team visited Horsepool Farm in Burbage to learn more about the day-to-day work of the Foundation and to meet Justina, the Foundation’s charity manager and of course the animals!
Justina says ‘We are now open and welcoming our families and school groups as well as supporting college students, but that is just the beginning. We now want to develop our offer further and make a measurable impact on the local community’.
The farm’s immediate need is a home for their new piglets – a pig ark, which we hope to be able to help raise funds for. Bigger plans are for a market garden that’s accessible and can be used to grow food for the local community and provide a place for the young people and their families to spend quality time together.
Ben Clay, Director at Clay Wealth Management says ‘We’re proud to stand alongside The David Lock Horsepool Foundation as our Charity of the Year and look forward to sharing stories and milestones as the partnership grows. Together, we can help more people in our community find confidence, connection, and calm’.
