Financial Goals

Ben Clay, Director of Clay Wealth Management, has once again been asked to carry out financial education with the Coventry City Youth Team this season.

Ben, who is accredited in financial education, says “Educating young people is something I am really passionate about.  It is so important that they start their financial journey in the right way. And, as a lifelong Coventry City fan, to be able to educate the youth team is an absolute privilege.”

For the last 5 years, Ben has been asked by Coventry City to support their education programme for their young players aged 9-18, by providing sessions covering the basics of budgeting and goal setting through a series of engaging activities.  He will be going into the Club in March 2026 to deliver a financial education programme to the young players.

Ben continues, “Through financial education I aim to lay the right foundation for the players to take with them whether they go on to play professionally or pursue a different career.  Whatever their level of earnings the principles of budgeting and goal setting are essential skills.”
